New film, The Island President explores Mohammad Nasheed’s inspirational fight for his country’s survival.

Special one-off screening at the Cinema City, Norwich on Tuesday 03 April at 18:10.

Today Dogwoof is releasing The Island President (trailer) at Picturehouses nationwide. This new documentary follows former Maldives President Mohammad Nasheed’s campaign for international cooperation on climate change in the leadup to the Copenhagen Summit. I don’t doubt that many people in the community would find the film especially interesting. Filmed with unprecedented access to a Head of State, much of the documentary focuses on high level diplomacy and international negotiations. The film premièred in London last week, opening the Human Rights Watch Film Festival.
