Professor Jenkins is an economist by  training with interests in international development issues, particularly trade  and foreign investment, and in industrialisation.\u00a0 His current research\u00a0 focuses on the impact of the growth of  China on other developing countries.\u00a0  He has had a long term interest in\u00a0  the activities of transnational corporations in the South and this has  included analysis of corporate social responsibility. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Professor Jenkins has over 30 years experience of  research in developing countries, particularly in Latin America. He has also  worked in East Asia and South Africa.
