{"id":2753,"date":"2012-12-02T02:28:10","date_gmt":"2012-12-02T02:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bothness.uber.space\/?p=2753"},"modified":"2013-01-14T23:11:11","modified_gmt":"2013-01-14T23:11:11","slug":"una-lunchbox-talk-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/norwichpeace.org\/?p=2753","title":{"rendered":"UNA LunchBox talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">Dear Friends,<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">Christmas is coming &#8211; but before that we have the  UNA LunchBox talk on Friday 21st December.\u00a0It will be held at 1pm in the  Friends Meeting House in\u00a0Upper Goat Lane,\u00a0 Norwich.\u00a0 The talk  will be entitled &#8220;Tools for Life&#8221; and will be given by\u00a0Mr &amp; Mrs  Evans-Jones. They will also show a short film.\u00a0 &#8220;Tools for Life&#8221; is the  slogan for &#8220;Work Aid&#8221; ( <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.workaid.org\" target=\"_blank\">www.workaid.org<\/a> ).  The organisation &#8220;Workaid&#8221; is committed to tackling poverty in a practical way  by helping disadvantaged people overseas and in the UK, to help themselves  through practical skills training.\u00a0 Unwanted tools and equipment are  collected from all over the UK and refurbished by a team of dedicated volunteers  at the Workaid workshop. The refurbished tools are then sent to vocational  training projects where they help vulnerable and disadvantaged people to learn  trade skills and start their oen businesses. Each\u00a0year Workaid helps over  9,000 people to break the cycle of poverty and rebuild their lives.
