Published to mark the 10th anniversary of the<br \/>\nmarch, the book explores the impact of the march and the anti-war<br \/>\nmovement, the debate about the tactics of the Stop the War Coalition, the<br \/>\neffect of the march on Britain&#8217;s Muslim population and much more besides.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn this evidence, the big march was shock and awe from the bottom-up; it<\/p>\n<p>came within a hair&#8217;s breadth of derailing the warmongers and still shapes<br \/>\nour politics today.\u201d &#8211; Joe Glenton, Afghan war veteran and author of<br \/>\nSoldier Box (Verso)<\/p>\n<p>According to polling, over 1\u00bc million people took part in Britain&#8217;s<br \/>\nbiggest-ever political protest: the 15 February 2003 anti-war march in<br \/>\nLondon against the invasion of Iraq.
