This is to advise you of a very special talk on Saturday 18th<\/sup> May at the Curve in the Forum at 11oc am.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are exceptionally lucky and privileged to have Professor Corinne Le Qu\u00e9r\u00e9\u00a0come and talk to us about \u201cPatterns for a Sustainable Planet\u201d. <\/span>Professor Le Qu\u00e9r\u00e9 is Professor of Climate Change Science and Policy at the University of East Anglia and is Director of the UEA Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Corinne Le Qu\u00e9r\u00e9 is originally from Canada. <\/span>She completed a Ph.D. in oceanography in University Paris V1 (1999), an M.S. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from McGill University and a B.Sc. in physics from the University of Montreal. <\/span>She has conducted research at Princeton University in the United States and at the Max-Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Germany. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Le Qu\u00e9r\u00e9 was author of the 3rd<\/sup>, 4th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> (ongoing) Assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. <\/span>She co-chairs the Global Carbon Project, a non-governmental organisation that fosters International research on the carbon cycle and publishes annual updates on global emissions and sinks of carbon dioxide. The new international research programme Future Earth, will coordinate international research on sustainability for the next 10 years <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
