26th August \u2013 7th September 2013<\/span><\/h1>\n

We hope you\u2019ll join CND, Trident Ploughshares and other anti-nuclear activists to camp, protest, and participate in direct action against Britain\u2019s nuclear weapons. AWE Burghfield is responsible for assembling the UK’s nuclear warheads. Nuclear components are transported by road in convoys from Aldermaston to Burghfield where they are assembled, and then transported by road again to Coulport in Scotland.<\/span>\"awe-bomb-factory-by-hembo-pagi\"<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The disarmament camp at Burghfield is happening at the crucial time when the government is planning to replace the Trident nuclear weapons system at a cost of \u00a3100 billion \u2013 money that could be much better invested in renewable energy, improving the health service, and education! <\/span><\/p>\n

The exact location of the camp will not be decided until the day it is set up, but it will be in the vicinity of Burghfield in Berkshire.<\/span><\/p>\n
