The Well will be holding an exhibition at the Forum from Sunday 12 until Thursday 16 October.\u00a0 All work will be for sale and includes a variety of artistic media including pottery, photography, printmaking, painting, drawing and illustration as well as constructions from found objects.\u00a0 A range of both reproduction and handmade greetings cards will also be available for purchase.<\/p>\n
‘Founded in 2006, the Well is a Norwich based group of artists from Norfolk and Suffolk who suffer from mental health disorders.\u00a0 Its members work individually but meet once a month to discuss their artistic activities, to provide support for each other and to plan and arrange outlets for selling their work.\u00a0 They annually participate at the Peace Fair, the Norwich Lanes Fayre and the Green Peace Christmas Fair.\u00a0 Gallery exhibitions take place in the Forum and St. Margaret’s Church.<\/p>\n
The ethos of the group is to encourage and support each other in their production of art whilst at the same time as providing social interaction thus enhancing each members’ personal state of wellbeing.<\/p>\n
The group intends that their contact with the general public at various venues will contribute towards reducing any remaining stigma and prejudice directed towards those suffering with mental health disorders.’<\/p>\n
