It is  time again to let you know about our January LunchBox talk which will take place  in the Friends Meeting House in Upper Goat Lane, Norwich on Friday 16th January  2015 at 1pm.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">The talk will be given by David North &#8211; Head of  people and Wildlife at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.\u00a0 David will talk about  &#8220;Cley Marshes &#8211; a wild vision.&#8221;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">Cley Marshes is Norfolk Wildlife Trust&#8217;s (NWT)  oldest and best known nature reserve.\u00a0 It was purchased in 1926 to be held  &#8220;in perpetuity as a bird breeding sanctuary&#8221; .\u00a0 It provided a blue print  for nature conservation which has now been replicated across the UK.\u00a0 The  water levels in the pools and reedbeds are regulated to ensure they are ideal  for the resident birds and reed is harvested every year to keep the reedbeds in  good condition.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">This should be a fascinating talk covering a vision  for the future of the marshes and I hope you will all be able to  come.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">with best wishes,<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\">Marguerite<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Friends A happy and peaceful New Year to everyone.
