{"id":3733,"date":"2015-02-04T23:06:32","date_gmt":"2015-02-04T23:06:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bothness.uber.space\/?p=3733"},"modified":"2015-03-03T23:24:53","modified_gmt":"2015-03-03T23:24:53","slug":"street-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/norwichpeace.org\/?p=3733","title":{"rendered":"Street Child"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31631\">\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31855\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Dear  Friends,<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31630\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial; font-size: x-small;\"><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31849\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">I would like to tell you about the forthcoming LunchBox  talk on Friday 20<sup>th<\/sup> February at 1pm in the Friends Meeting House,  Upper Goat Lane, Norwich.\u00a0 Tom  Dannatt will be talking to us about Street Child, the Charity he founded to work  in West Africa. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31838\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31832\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Street Child is a UK charity established in 2008 with the  aim of creating educational opportunity for some of the most vulnerable children  in Sierra Leone.\u00a0 Street Child\u2019s  principal focus is upon empowering children by giving them the chance to go to  school and giving their families the wherewithal to keep them there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31836\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1423521259720_31840\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Tom founded Street Child and leads the organisation on a  day-to-day basis. He is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the  organisation\u2019s performance \u2013 the project work in Sierra Leone, fund-raising and  charity administration.\u00a0 He travels  to Sierra Leone regularly.
