This is to announce the sad news of the death of Jean Kentfield much loved lacal and respected peace and environmental worker, activist and campaigner. Jean was a member of and attended Norwich Peace Camp several times helping out with both the Humanist and CND stalls, she also committed herself through the Green Party to ecological and environmental issues.

She will be well remembered by many and her loss will be felt by many also but it is hoped that her work may continue.

Funeral service was Tuesday 7th December 1.30pm at Colney Wood Cemetery.

Jean and her husband Peter were involved in all manner of campaigns both local and national. When they lived in Cornwall they were key players in mobilising a campaign to block the storage of nuclear waste which the government was planning in that county. More recently they had both been extremely active in the Anti-Iraq War movement. As Peter was starting to take life a little more slowly it was Jean who took the initiative and her efforts will be well remembered by the peace community in Norwich.

In the last year Jean had several bouts of ill health. It was decided that she should move into a care home. It was there that she suffered her recent stroke.
