Norwich Palestine Solidarity Campaign & Norwich Stop the War Coalition held a peaceful joint vigil/rally for Gaza to commemorate Operation Cast Lead, Israeli forces’ 22 day long attack on Gaza beginning 27th December 2008, during which over 1,400 Palestinians were killed, many being women and including over 400 children, over 5,000 being injured as well.
Over 50 people gathered from 11.30-1pm in the amphitheatre of Norwich Forum Saturday 15th January 2011. There were placards, a petition, speeches, information tables, over 150 leaflets were given out and in addition over £180 was raised for the Trauma Clinic in Gaza by Muslim sisters who had made warm refreshments and cakes.
The speeches reflected a variety of perspectives and included contributions by: Julie Bremner chair of NSTWC, Keith Rowley ex chair of NPSC, Peter Offord Green Party Councillor, President of NSTWC and visitor last year to Gaza, Nick O’Brian of Coalition Against the Cuts and NSTWC, Lesley Grahame Green Party Councillor and member of Norfolk Jewish Peace Group among other organisations and Shan Barclay on behalf of Norwich & Norfolk Muslim Association.
NPC&PC would like to thank all those who braved the wind to turn up and show solidarity with people in Gaza and all those suffering under the occupation.

Hi, I am trying to get hold of Shan Barclay with regard an online interfaith video recording that Rosedale Funeral Home have arranged for TODAY at 2pm.
I have sent him a couple of emails but I’m not sure whether he has received them.
Would it be possible to ask him to call me ASAP on 07909 510976
Thanks
