Palestine Fundraising Supper

Posted on | October 20, 2011 | No Comments

The fundraising supper on Saturday 19th November jointly organised by Norwich Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Norwich Stop the War Coalition and the Neesa Project was a great success. There were about 90 guests of all ages and many nationalities, the food was excellent our key speaker Muadh from Jerusalem taught us about the resitance movement, there was also poetry and North African music and altogether we raised over £1,700 including £380 for sale of Palestinian products which goes directly into the Palestinian economy. The remainder will go equally to a Palestinian charity, NPSC and NSTWC.
The organisers would like to thank all those who supported, the Vicar of St Thomas’ Church Rev Philip Young and everyone who helped make the event a success. The hope is that we may be able to have our fourth such event next year in the same venue.
