Friday 20th January 2012 at 1pm in the Friends Meeting House in Upper Goat Lane, Norwich.

This is the start of UNA’s “LunchBox” talks for 2012 and we have a great topic to start us off.

Dr Lee Marsden (from UEA’s School of Political, Social and International Studies) will be giving a talk entitled: “I’m Okay, You’re not Okay: Neocolonialism and US/UK Foreign Policy today.”

This should be particularly interesting in view of President Obama’s recent announcement that the US would henceforth be concentrating more on the Pacific rather than on their old allies in Europe – and what effect this will have on Europe.

Dr Lee Marsden is Senior Lecturer in International Relations in the School of Political, Social and International Studies.  He is a specialist in US Foreign Policy, religion and security and teaches modules on international security and conflict resolution, fundamentalism, religion and international relations. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and has been awarded a UEA ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award.  He been a member of the executive committee of the British International Studies Association since 2008 and is co-convenor of its United States Foreign Policy working group.

This is a talk not to be missed and we look forward to seeing you there.
