All people who knew him will have been very sad to hear the news that David Roberts passed away in care on Thursday evening 10th May

He has served this city and beyond for many years not only as Co-founder of Norwich Interfaith Link and Secretary of Norwich United Nations Association Branch but in many other capacities as well including being a founder member of NPC&PC

He may have left this world but the causes of peace, justice and better understanding which he strove for will continue and the work he put into these will live on too

NIFL’s Chair, Bishop David Gillett, writes:

“All of us involved with Norwich Interfaith Link are saddened to hear of the death of David Roberts, for so many years the inspiration and organiser of the interfaith movement in this part of the world.  His commitment to peace and his never ending desire to cross boundaries and make relationships with those from other backgrounds, ethnicities and religious traditions has left a legacy which many will long remember. At our next meeting we will be holding a two minute silent commemoration of David to mark the passing of one who for so long stood for values to which we all aspire.”

His funeral will be on Friday 18th May with a service at United Reformed Church Princes Street
