Dear Friends,
This is to remind you of the second annual David Roberts Memorial Lecture which will be held in The Curve at the Forum on Saturday 19th October 2013.
The talk will be entitled : “Our Population Predicament Has Five Fathers – – – – ” and will be given by Eric Rimmer from the organisation Population Matters.
Eric Rimmer FCIPD spent many years working with multinational corporations in human-resource management roles. He has also worked on independent consulting with international companies on both sides of the Atlantic.  Since 2003, as a member of www.populationmatters.org he has devoted increasing time to campaigning for the stabilization and reduction of human population.
Human population is a contentious subject and is usually the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about. Yet with the increasing global population and the earth’s finite resources it is a topic urgently waiting to be discussed. Eric Rimmer is a good speaker who is very experienced on this topic which needs to be explored and considered.
The talk will follow the usual format where the speaker will talk for approximately 30 minutes followed by questions and answers for another 30 minutes. Do come along and let us have your views. The talk starts at 11am. Tea/ coffee available from 10.30am.  Please do try to come to this important talk.
best wishes,
Marguerite
