Dear Friends,

This is notification of the 3rd David Roberts Memorial Lecture in the Curve at the Forum on Saturday 22nd November at 11am.  This talk will be given by Professor Lee Marsden who is Professor of International Relations in the School of Political, Social and International Relations at UEA.   The title of the talk will be: “Global politics: God, sex and violence”.

It is vital we challenge secularists to engage with religious actors, the religious to take responsibility for what is done in their name, and for both to adhere to The Golden Rule. This talk is a whistle stop tour of the relationship between religion and politics in today’s complex world.  Based on current research into religion and security, the talk promises to be controversial and thought provoking. Do try to come. The talk starts at 11am followed by questions. Tea and coffee will be served from 10.30am.
