Dear Friends,

I would like to tell you about the forthcoming LunchBox talk on Friday 20th February at 1pm in the Friends Meeting House, Upper Goat Lane, Norwich.  Tom Dannatt will be talking to us about Street Child, the Charity he founded to work in West Africa.

Street Child is a UK charity established in 2008 with the aim of creating educational opportunity for some of the most vulnerable children in Sierra Leone.  Street Child’s principal focus is upon empowering children by giving them the chance to go to school and giving their families the wherewithal to keep them there.

Tom founded Street Child and leads the organisation on a day-to-day basis. He is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s performance – the project work in Sierra Leone, fund-raising and charity administration.  He travels to Sierra Leone regularly. Tom holds a MSc in Human Rights and is also a qualified barrister.  At the present time, Street Child is working very hard to look after children who have lost their parents through the Ebola virus.   Please display the attached poster if you can and do come and hear this very interesting talk

best wishes,

Marguerite
