The Peace Cycle

The Peace Cycle is a unique bike ride and an exceptional opportunity to see the sights, learn the history, meet the people… and discover the truth about Palestine.

The Peace Cycle 2013 will take place between 5th and 16th of May and will visit Nazareth, Jenin, Al-Fara, Nablus, Qalqilya, Bil’in, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Hebron and Jerusalem.
As always, we will cycle so that we cause no harm to the environment and can feel as close to the land as possible. Cycling also makes us visible, and we will be met by ordinary people as we pass through towns and villages. Where possible, we will stay with people in their homes so that we really get to know them and listen to their stories, while at the same time contributing financially to a struggling economy.
The Peace Cycle 2013 is proud to be raising funds to support the International Middle East Media Center –www.imemc.org

Seize the Day to play for Norwich Greens
Seize the Day are visiting Norfolk to play at Cromer’s Folk on the Pier Festival,
and at St Thomas Church Hall Earlham Rd (junction with Edinburgh Rd) in Norwich on May 11th 8pm at the invitation of Norwich Green Party.
Seize The Day is a radical English acoustic band from Somerset, with global roots.
In 2003 the band polled the most on-line votes in the Radio 3 “Audience Awards” category, but were disqualified without warning after Radio 3 Executives realised they might express their anti-war believes in song at the ceremony.
They are well known within the peace/environmental movement for inspiring people to laugh, dance, cry, sing about major issues, and then do something about them. Norwich fan and Green Party Councillor Lesley Grahame who is organising the gig met them at the gates of Aldermaston nuclear weapons factory. Since then the band have played a leading role in campaign against EDF’s new nuclear power station at Hinckley point in Somerset, similar in design to Sizewell in Suffolk. Read more
